Yulan comes from China and has made New Zealand her second home, where she is raising her three children. She chose nursing because she wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives, and she continues to feel that purpose every day in this role.
She works as a Nurse Unit Manager in aged residential care, supporting residents with a wide range of physical and neurological conditions. Her role involves leading her nursing team, ensuring safe clinical practice, and making sure each resident is treated with dignity and respect.
Yulan is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to building a team culture where everyone feels valued. She believes good care begins with good communication.
