Granada Rehabilitation Service

A whole-person approach to rehabilitation

We take a Te Whare Tapa Wha approach to rehabilitation. Taha tinana, taha hinengaro, taha wairua, taha whanau. Recovery is not only physical, it is emotional, social, and spiritual.

Our rehabilitation gym at the Granada Rehabilitation Centre is purpose-built for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and functional recovery, backed by an in-house Allied Health team. Since July 2026, this has included a dedicated Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) unit, giving Canterbury families access to specialist neurorehabilitation close to home.

The Granada Rehabilitation Centre offers quiet single rooms, dedicated living spaces, and onsite gardens within our wider 60-room Halswell site. Unlike our permanent Residential Care service, a stay at Granada is transitional: rehabilitation is goal-focused, working towards discharge home or into community-based supports.
