I hold a BA (Hons) in Political Studies and an MTh in Distributive Justice, and have worked in the youth sector for 20 years, including in mental health and housing. I’ve been at Waipuna since 2011 (with a break from 2016–2018), sit on the National CAYAD Advisory Group, and am in my fourth term as an elected Community Board Member. I work helping communities and organisations reduce alcohol-related harm to young people, mainly through the alcohol licensing process, alongside my CAYAD colleagues in the Community Development Team. I’m happy to meet with anyone to talk about creating a better environment for young people, and I’m always up for challenging decision-makers to improve systems. Outside of work I love fishing, the beach, reading, and watching Test Cricket at Hagley Oval with my elder son.
