Maurice Carter Trust: supporting young families
The Maurice Carter Charitable Trust has supported Waipuna’s Young Parents Development Service for many years, making them one of our longest-standing and most loyal funders.
Their consistent investment reflects the founding vision of Maurice Carter, who dedicated his legacy to the relief of disadvantage and the advancement of opportunity in Christchurch. We are grateful for the ongoing confidence the Trustees place in Waipuna.
What this partnership has made possible
Maurice Carter’s support has directly funded parenting groups, family support, and the intensive wraparound care that young parents aged 16 to 25 need to thrive. Each year, that funding helps dozens of rangatahi parents build the skills, confidence, and connections to raise their tamariki well. When a young parent is well supported, their children flourish.
