Home Support Worker vacancy in Upper Hutt

St John of God Hauora Trust provides disability support services across Canterbury and Wellington. We are looking for a casual Community Home Support Worker to join our Upper Hutt team, supporting people living with physical and neurological disability in their own homes and communities.

About the role

As a Community Home Support Worker you will provide practical and personal support that enables people to live as independently as possible. This includes assistance with personal care, household tasks, community access and building connections with whānau and natural supports. You will work from people’s own homes, following individualised support plans that reflect each person’s goals and preferences.

About you

You bring passion, friendliness, positivity and dedication to supporting people. Whether you have experience in disability support or are looking to enter the sector, we welcome people who understand the importance of working alongside people on their own terms, in their own space. A current driver’s licence is required.

What we offer

We are a values-led organisation that invests in its people. You will receive comprehensive induction training, ongoing professional development, and the support of an experienced team. This casual position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to grow your career in the health and disability sector.
